This park is one of eight National Parks in California and should be on your list. When planning your visit, it’s worth considering the season. We embarked on our hikes in October and were met with scorching temperatures. Keep in mind that shade can be scarce along the trails, so opting for cooler seasons might offer a more comfortable experience.
High Peaks Loop

Beautiful but difficult hike in Pinnacles and as you hike through the trail, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas and unique rock formations. It can get crowded on the top, but it’s worth it.
North Wilderness, Bear Gulch and High Peaks Trail loop
- Length: 14.2 miles
- Elevation: 2460 ft
- Difficulty: Strenuous

While some parts of the trail may present difficulties, overall, it provides a moderate hike with beautiful view on the top.
