Capitol Reef is a park in Utah, about 4 hrs from Salt Late City. Stay in campground so you will have closer to hikes. We stayed in Cathedral Valley. If you will plan to visit from May to August be ready that there is really hot. Have a lot of water and hat. We did lot of hikes.
Cassidy Arch
This is not too long hike but with about 2000 feet elevation. On the end is beautiful arch and some people are doing climbing there. You can see lot of groups. This trail we continued to Frying Pan and Cohab Canyon.
Frying Arch
Name of hike itself telling you that it is hot place. We had lot of water and felt hot, because there is no shade.
Cohab Canyon
When we reached Cohab Canyon from Frying Pan we turned left and went to the road. It was easiest way back to parking.
Hickman Bridge
Golden Throne
Cathedral Valley loop
You will love this part of park. On the way you will see Temples of the Sun and Moon, Gypsum Sinkhole, and on the end upper and lower Cathedral Overlook.
Goblin Valley State Park
If you are in Capitol Reef it good to go to Goblin Valley State Park which is about 1 hr from Capitol. You can see amazing stone gnomes. We also camp there and spent 1 day around.
